I went to the gym today not knowing what to do after yesterday’s deadlifting fiasco.  It was leg day, actually yesterday should have been, but the idea of squats or trap bar deadlifts was anything but enticing.  As a result, after about 10 minutes on the double end bag and then a 1.5-mile run on the treadmill at 5.6 mph, I decided to use some of the machines for leg work.  No, that’s not ideal, but it was that or, well, nothing.  So I did, in order, 3 x 8 x 200 on the Precor leg extension machine, 3 x 8 x 185 on the Life Fitness leg curl machine, 3 x 15 x 160 of seated calf raises, and finally 3 x 10 x 395 on the Life Fitness seated leg press.  All this leg work was actually quite draining.  I finished with another 15 minutes on the double end bag.
