Sunday, August 30

Today’s session was a classic good news/bad news situation.  As for the good news, I had some very decent SLDL’s: 8 x 235, 8 x 245, 8 x 255, 6 x 255.  Couldn’t quite get eight reps on the last set, but that’s a minor setback.  Being still a bit sore from Thursday’s squats, I decided to do some trap bar deadlifts instead of more squats: 8 x 225, 8 x 245, 8 x 265.  Doing heavy squats more than once  a week might be a bit too much, so doing trap bar deadlifts is a reasonable substitute.  I finished with bodyweight dips (the dip bar is still MIA), 4 x 15.

As for the bad news, I just couldn’t get motivated to run on the treadmill.  With three days of my Friday-Thursday quota week over, I’ve run only one mile, with five to go to reach my quota.
