It looks like a high-mileage week

A new week, and a new month, and another round of high-mileage driving.  As this is an “incentives” week with a big push to sell as much as possible, the regular Monday morning agents’ meeting was shorter than usual, about an hour compared to the usual two.  As is so often the case lately I just barely made it on time, due to heavy Expressway traffic.  It looks as if I’ll have to get an earlier start.  Following the meeting I headed out to the county seat in eastern Suffolk to make some business calls.  I’ll be working this city for at least the next few days.  It’s a medium city in population terms, but quite spread-out geographically, so that translates into more driving – and more gasoline consumption – than I particularly care to do.  Not much choice in the matter, however.  I called on a number of active and lapsed customers, and I managed to schedule a couple of sales calls.  Unfortunately, both of the calls will be next week, at the customers’ request, and it’s this week when we’re expected to break sales records.  I’m just hoping the rest of this week produces some more immediate results.

Gym: decent upper-body work.  Bench press: 6 x 135, 4 x 185, 4 x 205, 5 x 225, 3 x 235, 2 x 245, 4 x 4 x 225.  Neutral grip pull-up: 4 x 4.
