Hurry Christmas, will you end already?

I started out today with some customer calls, not too much to report.  My supply of active and lapsed cards is just about done, so next week I’ll either have to get more or concentrate on business canvassing.  More likely the latter, though it will help if I can find another agent and go as a pair.  In the mid-afternoon I headed into the office for the regular weekly check-in, when agents submit any policies they’ve written during the week.  Today it also provided an opportunity to everyone to grumble about how the holidays are such a bad time for year for selling.  Before I got into the insurance business I always thought of the holiday season as the time of year when people are in the biggest spending mood.  That is true for the sort of things that are given as gifts, but clearly not for intangible things like insurance policies.  All I can say is that in just a few weeks the holiday season will be over, and according to other agents the volume of sales should increase.

Gym: more upper-body work, the same exercises as on Tuesday though not quite the same volume.  Bench press: 6 x 135, 4 x 185, 4 x 205, 3 x 4 x 225, 3 x 3 x 225.  Barbell rows: 3 x 8 x 185.  These don’t feel as awkward as they did on Tuesday.  Overhead presses: 3 x 8 x 95.
