Yes, it was a storm-related hiatus

As you may have gathered, my lack of posting was the result of Hurricane Sandy.  We did not lose power, fortunately enough, but had no Internet or cable TV until Thursday evening.  My only Internet connection was via my cell phone, but it was not up to making blog updates.

Needless to say, I did not work Monday or Tuesday.  I probably could have made it to the current Connecticut worksite on Monday, but the customer closed down and stayed closed on Tuesday.  I was able to work on Wednesday and Thursday, at two different but relatively adjacent locations in Connecticut (Danbury and Ridgefield respectively).  Driving was actually very easy both days with very light traffic volumes.  About the only problem was right in Ridgefield, where fallen trees blocked many roads and forced me to take a roundabout route.

It’s now Thursday evening, and tomorrow I’m supposed to be at a worksite in western Suffolk, about 20 miles away from me.  Unfortunately, my car is almost out of gas, and all the stations in the area have run out.  I just don’t know what I’ll do.
